Jim Corbett National Park, in the Uttarakhand foothills, is India's oldest national park, known for its tigers, elephants and birdlife. The programme combines safaris with the hill towns of Nainital, set around its lake, and Ranikhet. The park is named after Jim Corbett, the hunter-turned-conservationist who helped establish it.
