Ngari, in far western Tibet, is the land of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, sacred to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bon followers. The programme includes the hot springs of Thirthapuri. At over 4,500 metres it is demanding, and a counsellor will talk you through fitness and acclimatisation.
